The “BIC” lighter is a brand name, meaning it refers to lighters produced by the French company Société Bic S.A., commonly known as BIC. The company was founded in 1945 by Marcel Bich, and the name BIC is a shortened and more memorable version of his last name. Ours have the Mr. Nice guy logo printed on them.
